Please post all feedback about the WindowBlinds 6 beta on this thread.

Note that the beta is for 32 bit XP and Vista systems only.  Please do not post about it not working on 64 bit XP/Vista.  Please continue to use WB 5.51 on those platforms.

This beta is for Object Desktop customers ONLY.  Standalone WindowBlinds 5 owners will not be able to activate this build.

Please note that you must have Stardock Central 2.46 Build 154 or later to install the WindowBlinds 6 betas. If you try and use older versions, it'll eventually timeout and give you an error about an invalid URL.

If you have problems with it running at all, please uninstall WB6, reboot and then try reinstalling WB6 again.

Do you get a crash address when it crashes?
on Oct 05, 2007
no - not at all. Explorer just restarts, and hte ms programs that it happens with just instantly close, poof! no warning.

Would SmartException help catch the crash data?

Silverspider: Look in the Event viewer (controlpanel -> admin tools) as it may list the crashes with a crash address.

Hi Neil, yuo, nothing logged in there either and to be sure again, i've recreated the errors, checked the time, refreshed the event logs and checked under all the event viewer sections. Absolulty nothing is being logged as far as these errors are concerned.

Vistart Build 2502

Neil, Silverspider,
from your list of software. Isn't this a Start Menu replacement?
Seems to me like it would be suspect for conflicts with Windowblinds.

well thats why i disabled it, just in case, but i still get the problem. If you read past that you will see that I have run through disabling alsorts and uninstalling. The only time it ceases is by using the Stardock Skin Adamant. I discovered last night that there is another user with the same problem. He started another thread - i posted the link to that previously.
