Please let us know
Published on November 24, 2016 By Neil Banfield In WindowBlinds

If you have compatibility issues with WindowBlinds and an application or game, please do let us know in this thread so we can investigate it and hopefully resolve the problem.

Please make sure you are running the latest version of WindowBlinds first and that the problem exists with a theme included with WindowBlinds vs a downloaded one.

Please provide as much detail as you can, screenshots of the problem, information on the application itself, how to reproduce the problem and if possible dmp files from any crashes.

The information on the about WindowBlinds page and information on your setup would be helpful too.

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that GIMP (2.10.36 and 2.99.18 tested) crashes on start due to WindowBlinds. Adding it to WB's ignore list solves the problem (none of the other options help in the per-app settings). I believe it's a GTK issue.

Skin - The Raven

Having this skin active prevents Total War launcher from running
From Total War Warhammer II and III

Do you mean the issue only happen with The Raven applied? No issue on other skins?

Would like to suggest, also include all executable files in that same game directory, it might also get execute when launching the game.

Ok thanks, seems there are 2 launchers for each game, 1 that takes you to the Total war launcher and the other a file deeper takes you direct to the specific game

So it is working now?

I wanted to say that this has been a problem for ages as I had GIMP installed, only 30 versions prior (I don't use it much) and back then I had excluded the app in WB's settings. Now I've updated to v2.10.36 it seems to run fine. It might be that certain parts of the program don't display correctly but at a glance it's OK albeit with the very old skin I'm using on Windows 10 (same WB version though). I would conclude then that the team have fixed that particular bug but maybe not on Win 11? Anyone else care to test too?

This isn't a problem for me. Well I say that but right now I can't test the latest version of the dlls (another issue) but I CAN see the latest version of this config app just fine. I don't use dark mode (although ironically the ONE update was a fix for that mode!) so perhaps that's the issue? I'm somewhat glad you mentioned this app as it turns out I've been using it for the last 7 years; what a coincidence. I do need to update but I'm a bit worried this going to become a rabbit hole and I might break everything... Oh well. Proof it's OK for me:

Quoting teknixstuff,

Yes, however Supermium brings back support for --disable-windows10-custom-titlebar. It now works fine with that argument. However Supermium also has a flag for the same thing, which is better (since it works even if not launched from a custom shortcut), however WindowBlinds seems to not work with the flag. I have performed many tests and diagnosed that WindowBlinds is now at fault, namely due to WindowBlinds excluding Supermium unless the --disable-windows10-custom-titlebar flag is used.

I am afraid WindowBlinds cannot detect flags set inside of Chrome.  It can only detect using the command line.  Without that it correctly excludes the process to avoid half skinning it.

Does this apply to Vivaldi?

I turned on the option "Use native window" in settings, but WindowBlinds doesn't skin Vivaldi.

I tried --disable-windows10-custom-titlebar commandline argument but no chance.

Edit: Groupy 2, your another software, thinks Vivaldi's window is compatible to combine tabs into titlebar.
