Please let us know
Published on November 24, 2016 By Neil Banfield In WindowBlinds

If you have compatibility issues with WindowBlinds and an application or game, please do let us know in this thread so we can investigate it and hopefully resolve the problem.

Please make sure you are running the latest version of WindowBlinds first and that the problem exists with a theme included with WindowBlinds vs a downloaded one.

Please provide as much detail as you can, screenshots of the problem, information on the application itself, how to reproduce the problem and if possible dmp files from any crashes.

The information on the about WindowBlinds page and information on your setup would be helpful too.

Well on my system AMD Ryzen Master is not skinned at all. So I was wondering why you have "boundary boxes moved out of place" and I don't have Autodesk Fusion360 to verify your problem. So screenshots are most helpful.

I have the same issue with the version Win 10 Pro 1903, build 18.362.10015. This is a final version of Win 10.

I can see it on Win10 fast ring:

But its fine on the Win10 general release:

Ah, thank you. I do have it as part of OD but it's one of the newer apps so I didn't realise it existed! Object Desktop is a great deal (free plug), even if DesktopX and ObjectBar are no more. Gone, but not forgotten...

DesktopX was a bit before my time but Brad talks about it like a lost love.  He has a great affection for the app and the people who used it.

Hi guys,

I'm having issues with Windowblinds and hardware acceleration (HA).

I had the problems with both Ableton Live 10, and Mcneel Rhino 5, no matter what version it is.

Both are excluded in WB.

I solved it for AL10 by disabling HA for my plugins, and it works well.

For Rhino however, I'm not as happy to disable it, for obvious reasons.

When HA is on the modeling area freezes.

It looks like it's excluded, as the window is unskinned. The first checkbox in WB, "Ignore this app and do not skin it" is checked.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thanks!

Pelle

Both are excluded in WB.

Have you tried without excluding Rhino (excluding could actually be causing the problem)?

Hi Sean,

Yes I did, I excluded the app when I noticed it didn't work.

The result is the same

Firefox (latest version as of June 8, 2019) doesn't play well with windows blinds.  Minimize button does nothing.  Maximize button minimizes, and red X closes as it should.  Any suggestions for this?  Chrome seemed to work okay, but has gotten too bloated for me to want to use.

I have this problem, too, except hitting the close (X) button minimizes the screen to the top bar, and does NOT close the window. Nothing in the knowledge base to address this, nor did a search of the thread reveal an answer.

I uninstalled WindowBlinds, and Firefox behavior returned to normal. Reinstalled WB, and the misbehavior returned. All other windows behave properly.

Thanks!

Hello,

I don't have problem running Firefox with Windowblinds. I just need to do the "3 line menu -> Customize -> tick the "Titlebar" option on the bottom left. And it been working fine for me.

Please try it and let us know if it still not working for you. Might need a reboot.

Thank you,

You mean to turn off the FF titlebar? Or turn it off and turn on again? I have the titlebar skinned ok until I touch the buttons. But when I touch any of them they are covered with something

The buttons remain functional, only I have to guess where they are.

Any suggestions of how to deal with this?

Turn it on. If you have it on and still not working for you. Please try the Refresh Firefox : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

Note : Need to read and understand warning posted in that page. Your Firefox than will be reset to it original setting. Do the 3 bar setting again. and retest.
