Please let us know
Published on November 24, 2016 By Neil Banfield In WindowBlinds

If you have compatibility issues with WindowBlinds and an application or game, please do let us know in this thread so we can investigate it and hopefully resolve the problem.

Please make sure you are running the latest version of WindowBlinds first and that the problem exists with a theme included with WindowBlinds vs a downloaded one.

Please provide as much detail as you can, screenshots of the problem, information on the application itself, how to reproduce the problem and if possible dmp files from any crashes.

The information on the about WindowBlinds page and information on your setup would be helpful too.

The issue is the toolbar. It renders the icons over on the left, but it still thinks under the hood that they are over on the right. You have to move the mouse to the right to get the actual operations.
Interesting. I wonder if this is the same for all apps that operate in this mode. Do Stardock have many users who use Arabic et al I wonder?

It is worth also noting that this application starts as a "CMFCPropertySheet" and not a "CDialog".

Quoting dunmer2007,

Firefox quantum 63.0.3 (64-bit) there are no longer any min/max/close buttons displayed even when excluding FF in the Window blind program list... Win 10 pro 64 1809 newest update.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues, but you should try this. Firefox's 3 bar menu -> Customize -> (Bottom left) Tick check box "Title bar" No need to exclude FF from Windowblinds.

Basj,

Stardock Community Assistant.

Thanks so much works magnificently!

There is  a compatibility issue between Windowblinds and my program Fortissimo Mp3 player.

Fortissimo has an always on top option. If stay on top is selected Fortissimo gets interrupted by Windowblinds when a new song is loaded "When And If" any of it's windows are on top of the windowblinds skinned windows task bar.

I have selected the option in Windowblinds to ignore Fortissimo but Windowblinds still try’s to hook fortissimo and stall it for awhile.

Please note Fortissimo skins itself.

When the interference occurs Fortissimo wants to jump out it's own window due to the stall. When I Unload Windowblinds my program is back as it should be.

Never noticed this before the last couple of Windowblinds updates.

My system is Windows 10 64 bit with all of the latest updates,
8 g's of ram,
Core I5 processor.

Windows 10 Home (17763.rs5_release.180914-1434)
WindowBlinds 10.74 (054 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS

Window titlebar blur features are enabled on this operating system

        Wblind.dll                   2018/11/01 15:46:55
        Wblind64.dll                 2018/11/01 15:46:35
        Wbsrv.dll                    2017/03/16 13:16:46
        WB10Config.exe               2018/10/17 12:36:18
        Wbload.dll                   2018/10/09 16:30:37
        Screen10.exe                 2017/03/28 07:53:17

I tried to exclude a few windowblinds dlls within my program skinning framework but that did not resolve the issue.

Just wanted to add that if Fortissimo is run as Administrator the problem with windowblinds goes away.

Also I have yet to hear anything from Stardock regarding this issue. as of 12/19/2018

Fortissimo can be downloaded from www.goodnotesoftware.com

Any update on my VisitsRota and RTL please ....?

Not at this time - you may want to consider excluding the app for the time being.

Fortissimo has an always on top option.
Where is this? I can't seem to find it. Is it only available in the registered version?

Also, the app looks great with Windowblinds skins!

I know about that Sean! Been having to do that on and off for years... I was asking where the setting in Fortissimo to keep its window on top was. Thanks anyway.

Select the gear button under the Listbox to the left and the options will display. Then page one click with the silver page button and you will see it.

I have Actual Window Manager primarily because of dual monitor taskbars and tabbed windows explorer interface.  On my Windows 7 system without Windowblinds it works flawlessly but on Windows 10 using any Stardock theme Explorer title bars become almost completely transparent and normal controls are invisible.  Excluding explorer makes no difference.

I have removed Actual Window Manager but I miss the tabbed interface and  the switch monitors and other effects - not sure about Groupy.

Any information regarding this ?

Sean Drohan , thank you so much! It works . But there is one problem . After the reboot, Windows 10 services again turn on and you need to turn it off again each time. It is not comfortable . How can you automate this process or somehow turn it off forever? I hope you understand the meaning. sorry for my English.
