Please let us know
Published on November 24, 2016 By Neil Banfield In WindowBlinds

If you have compatibility issues with WindowBlinds and an application or game, please do let us know in this thread so we can investigate it and hopefully resolve the problem.

Please make sure you are running the latest version of WindowBlinds first and that the problem exists with a theme included with WindowBlinds vs a downloaded one.

Please provide as much detail as you can, screenshots of the problem, information on the application itself, how to reproduce the problem and if possible dmp files from any crashes.

The information on the about WindowBlinds page and information on your setup would be helpful too.

That helped with the 3 buttons, but caused another problem, the menu and tab text color is unreadble.

Worked for Chrome thanks.

For Firefox and some other things it have the same problem, like the "safely remove hardware" icon, see attachment (top second left icon)

That more on problem with windows 10 starting using all white icons and the theme not update accordingly. You can always find another theme that do not have that problem.

I'd like to point out that for me Object Desktop Manager was installing each beta as it became available, or at least it was reporting that it had done so. The installation went fine and both it and WB were even reporting that no further updates were available; however, I was not getting an About page like as shown. It was only because I saw that screenshot that I bothered to check.

Only once I had unloaded WB and then run the installer for v10.74 manually (and rebooted) did WB report that I was on that version, rather than v10.65 as it was showing before. I don't know where the problem lies with this one or whether I have even been stuck on v10.65 this whole time or not but thought I should mention it anyway.

I cannot see the date and language in the taskbar as well. It is not windows.

Another problem, when I chose Windows 7 style start menu in Start 10, the All programs menu is black and the text is balck, see attachments for both problems

That is strange. But can you show that taskbar missing text on another theme. Try "Acrylic 7" and photo wallpaper with lot of details/colors just to test an idea I have.

Thank you,

With "Acrylic 7" there is no problem with the text, but I like the "Corporate" better, and the problem is there .

What is strange, when I switch to "Corporate" I can see the date/time text, but after a reboot I cannot.

The firefox menu and tabs happens with "Acrylic 7"as well.

From that, I think it shows that something else is overwriting/controlling that part of your pc. you can also try cleanboot on windowblinds to iron-out the problem. https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#cleanboot

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Did you do the Clean Boot as basj ask you too in reply#147

Please do that next if you didn't .

No, I don't think it will help, it is too much work, and last time I updated windows I requested, I had problem with many programs, and had to reinstall.

The problem is with windows components like File Explorer, and sitting windows, the language & date in the task bar.

Resolution of the display is 2560x1440, don't know if this plays a roll.

Graphics card is nVidia p4000

I noticed that this dark rectangles disappear when resizing the explorer bigger, and return when the explorer small is.
